Study Plans

A Study Plan, based on the 1982 Planning Regulations, was developed to guide the adjustment and update of the Forest Plan. This Study Plan was approved by the Tongass Forest Supervisor on December 7, 2005. However, a project as complex and comprehensive as the adjustment and update of the Forest Plan is a “work in progress” and will continue to evolve. The Study Plan should be viewed as a basic guide for the overall project and not as a final plan; the project is likely to evolve over time.
